Este texto hace una presentación de los elementos básicos necesarios para atacar algunos de los problemas fundamentales de las finanzas modernas. Se desarrolla la teoría necesaria para resolver problemas como: la modelación del precio de activos riesgosos, la valoración analítica y numérica de derivados financieros, la modelación de tasas cortas de interés y estructuras a término, entrre otros. También se presentan algunos resultados de investigación sobre la aplicación de transformaciones integrales en la valoración de activos contingentes y el desarrollo de modelos de mercado utilizando variables fuzzy (borrosas), procesos inciertos y procesos híbridos.
